Quora
I know Quora is one of the best open discussion forums. In this subreddit, I see lots of discussion regarding Quora issues. After a few years, I'm thinking to become active in Quora again..
Equally, questions on Quora are commonly inarticulate, ungrammatical, nonsensical rubbish that can't be answered anyway, particularly Quora's own AI-generated "Prompts".
Understanding the Context
Quora doesn't have any of this because there's nothing on Quora that resembles reddit's sub/group system. There's no sense of community because there's no groups, and there's no.
Quora pays people depending on how much engagement their questions get. So when someone acts dumb and asks a dumb question a lot of the time their goal is to trigger you so you answer.
Quora is no longer a place where you can get decent answers to questions its simply a cesspool of lies and trickery. I wouldnt be surprised if quora is run by someone will ill-intent who is purposefully filling.
Here on Reddit, everyone downvotes trolls and moves on, but on Quora, the downvote option is hidden, and you cant downvote a question. So, people would respond angrily at the person.
Key Insights
Quora is becoming obnoxious and bitter and this is coming from a big quora user. Reddit's atmosphere is way better, quora has become a site that believes in apocalyptic scenario's and conspiracies.
Quora was the best Q&A site for about a year - it was the first site that I was excited about since early Wikipedia. I think they destroyed themselves by changing structure to get more clicks.
